Once again more lies and FUD from Thuway and Famous amous. This was eis expected from the milk carton insiders that brings you every lie about MS and folks scurrying around posting their BS. Titanfall beta is a success by Microsoft and here comes the lies and FUD ain't it ironic how things works with these guys.

lol.....this generation is starting with all kind of craziness. I would be for this personally. The video game console industry needs a shakeup every few gens to keep stuff fresh. Plus, would love to see what Amazon would do with it.

All that said.....yeah, not buying it.....yet.

Lol amazon did buy double helix, I mean if ms was going to sell the Xbox brand/division, amazon will be the most likely candidate to buy it

Amazon prime
Xbox prime?

Sounds catchy lol

I don't know that Amazon has the capital for it though. Unless MS sells it at a bargain price.....but don't see that happening either.

SONY will be able to block this with a lawsuit. The argument is obvious.

However, I'm going with the I don't think so category.

Samsung is the obvious choice. MS will need to fetch every $ they can and Samsung will be the only brand name big enough to make the XBO succeed. Retailers will balk at carrying XBO if Amazon owns it to hurt Amazon, who already impinge on them. Retailers could care less if the PS4 wins, and probably would prefer it to kill Amazon's bottom line.
Samsung can open doors for XBO.

Unless they totally abandon the Xbox One and start a fresh this generation is all upto SONY no matter who owns Xbox.*

*My opinion, you are free to disagree.

lol....where did I say I believed it? The fact is that there has been speculation by some that MS would sell Xbox for months now. I seriously doubt Amazon could afford it, but it is just a rumor. No need to get all worked up about it.

Rumour? Sure.

But FUD? I understand FUD being negative. How is this negative? Becuase some XBox fans dont like it? lol

Again, it's just a rumour, nothing confirmed, and imo, unlikely. BUt it's not FUD sensitive people...

FUD and lies, apparently. You forgot the "lies".

So Amazon's total assets are around $40 billion according to wikipedia. What is the Xbox division worth? I think Pachter said around $20-$30 billion? Wouldn't that be kind of like getting a second mortgage on your house so you could buy a sports car? Math doesn't add up.

Yeah - it deosnt seem like soemthing Amazon would do - get into gaming by buying a couple of devs, makes sense. But not this.

Not that they'd be bad, they'd actually be pretty pro consumer.

But it's not happening.

If anything, this all seems like another exercise of MS trying to weed out leaks (based on what Mortimer has said). Also, Mortimer is some kind of "liar" now? lol This guy isn't hhg, cboat or some other pariah you all love to hate. He's not making it up (not just this rumour but other stuff as well) -just parroting what he's heard.

He's literally the messenger being (figuratively) shot.

Chill people, wake from your cry-pillows.

Some people just like to scream oh FUUUUUUD! This won't happen though. Don't see amazon having deep enough pockets for this move even if they wanted to sell.

Truth is, Greenberg is just a flunkie and has no corporate decision making power at all. The facts are that Amazon has come out and started talking about an Amazon game console. This is intertwined with Steam machines out now. Notice, Amazon, Valve and Microsoft are all based in the Seattle area. It would seem Amazon is looking at this as another investment area from looking at how much they are making, being a retailer for video games. It seems farfetched right now, but this churn is going to increase over this year. There are things called "take over targets" and if the Xbox division is looking scrambled by mid-year, it's going to be ripe as a take-over target. Of course, the whole entertainment division might be against it, but Microsoft is run by the CEO and the board of investors, just like all public traded corporations. They don't pay much attention to Interwebz chatter about personal opinions.
