Dear Forum,

I am new to the forum and I am registering under the suggestion of the Italian Support
Let me clarify for you this matter because really I have no other solutions here, unless I call a lwyer but I am not in the position to do that right now

I am an Italian guy which had back in the days a PS3 system (dated 2006)
I registered (apparently) 2 PSN accounts (or it appears to be so...)
The first one was successfully closed yesterday thanks to the Italian Support Team
The second one appears to be my main post service (which I have now for over 13 years) and it seems to be registered as an USA account (???)

I contacted the Italian support which they confirmed to me it is an USA account and that they cannot do anything since is a separate system
So ok let me reach the USA website
Botchat is useless, it always asks me for data that I don't have the required informations like birth date, etc etc, I input always my real data to every website and this one does not work
Then I try the live chat and as soon as I input (even a fake account or a new post address never used) it says YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM THE SUPPORT...

I am trying every possible way, I tried writing to the USA PalyStation FB page, IG page, Twitter page, I am trying to search for an official post address, I am trying to reach PlayStation USA via some Tech related websites (worldwide important websites) which could help me solve my issues, but I am unable to find a solution to this problem

That account registered in the USA is using my address, I use it for work and is a very huge part of my life, now there is this account registered in the USA on the PSN, I don't think I registered it since I never ever ever ever in my life ever got a message from Sony about it and suddenly 3 days ago I got a message for a password change, which led me to think it was registered somehow, I verified as mentioned with the Italian team and that is an USA account, but of course I have no way of accessing an USA PlayStation system or whatever the thing might be

So I am asking you guys if possible a solution, an Address, an official someone which could help me in this horrible situation before I think a lawyer is the last resort to fix this situation and DELETE that account, because I don't want to keep the account or anything, I simply want to delete it forever and never hears of anything relating to that

More over since is my own post service that I use to work and will never use to subscribe any entertainment system

PSU isn't affiliated with Sony so there's not much we can do here.

If they have personal data (that is derived from the EU), you could try looking into GDPR's 'right to be forgotten'... They'd be required to take the request seriously if you meet the proper criteria - which you can probably google.

The thing is that they mentioned EU system and USA system are completely separate, from here they can see that there is an account labeled in USA but they can't see anyhing else, not even take an action
Do you recommend anything to do personally aside a lawyer of course which involve money and a lot of hassle?

I am having the same problem, except I am in the US(always have been), but they are saying my account is in the Japan region. Which is not even remotely logical. I have always signed in to PSN via console, iPhone app and browser in the US region. And I’ve had the same PSN account for about 10 years with no trouble.

Live support chat techs won’t even listen. Just say to make sure I choose the right region and log in. Like they forgot my whole reason for being there is that I have to change my password to log in, and can’t access the email.

I did try to contact the Japan support like they suggested, but guess what? It won’t even let me talk to a chat tech. It says my “client address is not authorized.” Why? BECAUSE IM IN THE DANG UNITED STATES!

Just the idea that setting up a PSN account on an NTSF console would default to the Japanese region is absurd. I can’t even understand Japanese.

Now I’m stuck chasing my own tail. Meanwhile, I can’t access any of the digital games I’ve paid for, or anything at all that requires being signed in to PSN.

I’m so frustrated and upset! The support techs kick you out of the chat before you can even try to explain or reason with them!

Exactly, I mean I don't use a PS anymore since the PS3 but still that's my eMail and I would like to close the account associated, you don't even know if someone could hack into Sony as it ahppened already or anything similar and I am also a bit paranoid about so...
