Shared Trophy Lists

Why is it that so few PS4/PS5 cross-gen games have a shared trohphy list?

That is just plain stupid, IMO.

For example, Sackboy. I think the Vita had a sizable number of games that shared the same trophy list with PS4.

Having to get them twice (once on each platform) if you start on the PS4 version is just dumb.

At least saves transfer in most cases.

I imagine it's to do with the fact Sony treats every version of a game as it's own SKU, so it's probably harder than it needs to be to share lists.

Cross save isn't even a guaranteed feature, and when we get it we have to: Boot up the old game, upload the save, Boot up game on the other platform and download the save. It's bizarre.
