Should I make a new psn account?

So, I made my account when I was 12. I didn't want to be a sub account and get limited so I faked the year I was born. Stupid 12 year old me didn't write it down. About a year ago I phoned sony about an issue I was having and they asked for my DOB to confirm my identity. I said the wrong date and the dude said that my account was going to be frozen until I could send in a drivers license or something to confirm my age. I freaked out and hung up. This was a year ago and nothing has happened. I'm about to invest in a very large amount of dlc and limited edition stuff so I would be pretty annoyed if after I put this stuff on my account it was frozen/banned. I'm wondering if I should make a new account (even though I would lose all my trophies :( ) to be on the safe side. But surely action would have been taken after a YEAR.... right? What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

I would eat the loss of your trophies.

You might have full access to your current PSN account and nothing has happened to it in the past year, but you have an account where if something happens and you need support, you can't verify your identity to Playstation support. Even if your account wasn't frozen last time, next time they will see transactions for that profile and almost certainly take action, especially if they have internal notes about someone previously trying to claim access to that account.

You might also be able to make a new, completely legit account which you use to buy stuff, but use your other account to play them and continue to use that account to earn trophies. I don't see why that wouldn't be possible, but I've never actually done that one PS4.

I have done what you proposed every time mate, since TR psn prices are way beyond my reach thanks to taxes, I usually shop from other psn's, and play on my own account. Altough , even chances are slim, you may have a problem in the future, which may end pretty bad for you. Like Scheller suggested keep your old account to verify your games, but play them all in your new account. Start from ground zero, you are still young, I am sure you can still have tons of trophies :)

I'm going to assume you mistyped there? I was suggesting he create a new account with the correct information and buy games using that new account, but use his older account to play them (if he's dead set on keeping his old trophies).

At this point I'd probably just switch over to the new account, since he's already been told my Sony that they won't give him support for the old account unless he can verify it's his (which because the DOB is wrong and cannot be changed, he can't). Who's to say that after racking up a bunch more extra trophies on that old account he doesn't come across another issue that requires support and he ends up losing that account. I agree with you, should just start from the ground up.
