And so far i'm absolutely loving this console. I've had it for about a week now. I got the white 8 gb model, i'll just get an external hard drive down the road. Right now, i seem to have plenty of room for my game saves at least.

The GamePad is awesome and i think it's really going to shine as more and more games take advantage of it. I love the whole idea of off screen gameplay. Obviously, you'd want to play on your TV when you can but it's there and it works well with the games that use it.

So far i've got New Super Mario Bros. U, ZombiU, and Black Ops 2. All great games. The funny thing is i've been playing Black Ops 2 more than anything and i bought the console primarily for Nintendo's first party offerings. Go figure.

On that topic though, Black Ops 2 on the Wii U looks great and runs as smooth as butter. I've experienced lag in maybe 1/200 games so far. So for all you people who claim lag kills the game for you on the 360/PS3 you might want to look in to getting a Wii U to play the pinnacle of first person shooters. Just saying.

Picked up the Wii U Pro controller the other day. I love it, an obvious copy and paste job of the 360 controller by Nintendo but they needed it. It's really comfortable and i'm liking it even more than the 360 pad now. The GamePad works great with Black Ops 2 but i'm playing even better with the Pro controller now.

Really looking forward to Pikmin 3 and that HD port of Wind Waker, gawd that game was so good. Probably the GameCube's shining moment and now we get to replay it in glorious HD. Anything else coming out soon that i haven't heard about? E3 is going to be amazing, i can see Nintendo stealing the show now with the games.

Also, Nintendo got online right finally. The Nintendo Network is sweet, i'm liking Miiverse, it's cool that you can chat with people about any game on the console with a click of a button. The web browser is awesome, it beats the hell out of the PS3's.

Who else here as a Wii U? My Nintendo Network ID is TDbank23, feel free to add me!

Nice impressions. I will pick one up when the price drops if more games come.

Sounds like you are enjoying it and that is great news... Here you should pick up Lego: City Undercover

It has been getting great scores all over and the only problem with the Wii U is the freaking long long updates

I got myself a 32gb couple of weeks ago. I have been playing Super Mario Bros U non-stop. This console is amazing, I love how the Miiverse integrated with the games. I can't wait to what to expect for the future.
True, but it is worth it at the end... It is funny and real fun

And the Loading times will kill the experience a lot... But worth it
Nintendo is going to release an update this month to shorten loading time.

I agree about the Pro controller it is probably the best on the market now, with symmetrical sticks high up the gamepad. Although with the lack of shooters on Wii and the lack of support the Wii U is going to get shooter wise from third parties, I'm not sure it fits.

I've been thinking about joining a Wii U forum but i'm already posting at Xbox forums as well. Kind of hard to juggle all these forums lol.
Great review but I'm going to wait for PS4.
The Wii U isn't going to stop me from buying a PS4 and probably a 720 but yeah.

Unless you like Nintendo games you won't be missing all that much.

I've got a Wii U but I rarely touch it. Got it mainly for Rayman Legends and then that went multiplat and delayed to September.

Only got Mario, ZombiU and Nintendo Land. Mario is great, Nintendo Land is a good party style game and ZombiU was very disappointing.

Just wait for E3. Nintendo and Sony are going to kick the bucket.

Seems like an interesting console indeed. I would've liked if Sony sort of incorporated the controls they did but not to that extent (the big ass controller) but otherwise I do like that concept, just that I also want a powerful console as I'm a big fan of MMOs and just ain't happenin' much on a console with 1-2GB of total RAM.
Do those new controllers (not the touchpad) plug into the Wiimote or the console itself?
They're all wireless and you can sync them easily to the console. If you're playing your Wii games and want to use the classic, you got to continue plugging the classic controller from the back of Wiimote.

Are you asking for charging purposes?
No for gaming? Or are they like Wiimote and connect by themselves?
Oh ok you just synce them like you did with the Wii. I currently have 3 remotes and 1 pro controller sync with my Wii U
