really short animation (around 30 secs) I made called Stones melt too.
Meant to be a 10 second experimental animation but I had a really strong idea so went for a longer time.
First time I attempted to create an emotional story.

painted in photoshop, compiled in after effects. Took less than a week.

EDIT: Warning: it deals with 'personal' themes like elders dieing which may make it uncomfortable for some to watch.

With death on his doorstep, the grumpy old man fails to appreciate the worries of his family. As the monitor slowly beeps, why is it that the touch of his grandson melts his stone heart?
Any guesses why? lol

I like it. I think his death should have been slower. I mean... he died the second he reached for the kids head.

Thanks for the comments.
@finalreaper: yeah, the ending annoys me a little, it goes too fast and almost feels like a punchline which was not intentional. :( I kept it as it is as it wasn't meant to be a polished piece or anything, just around a 10 second test using that style.

@PS3D: yeah, it's a similar problem to how fast the enidng goes. I was trying to cut it down in length as much as I could.

@Tyrien: I should probably put a warning up as I can imagine the subject being a little uncomfortable. fortunately I've never been in a situation like this, I should have thought twice before posting this. Will edit the first post. :)
