Picked up a 5800x and b550 motherboard on boxing day - story similar to my 3070, went in quickly for something cheap (rpi psu), but came out a whole lot poorer. 
Stuff is a mess atm, so may grab a picture of the empty boxes when i cleaned up a bit, but managed to get it up and running in the early hours of this morning: everything seems to be running as normal.
Had no plans to pick it up, but did have plans for my server at the end of this year. Was waiting for the 11k series from intel to maybe be the server cpu, but power consumption is kinda crazy. My old 3600 is close to my router (which runs an older i3 4th gen) for idle power consumption, and is a little powerhouse! So have some transplantation going on atm. 5800x goes in my pc, and the 3600 is going to the server. Will get around to that this weekend since it'll likely be a bit more of a pain since i can't just do a clean wipe.
Then i need to dick around with my router and sort out my firewall rules for both... it's going to be such a pain in the arse.
