The PS5 DualSense Controller’s Microphone Can Be Used To Record/Send Voice Messages And Add Recordings To Media
Sources: PSU / Digital Foundry
Digital Foundry has revealed in its PS5 UI analysis today that the PS5 DualSense controller’s microphone can be used to record and send voice messages over PSN messages.
In the writeup, they highlight that you won’t need to buy an external microphone, because you can use the one built inside the PS5’s DualSense controller to record voice messages and send them to your friends. You can also use that microphone to add your voice to media which Digital Foundry describes as “Another nice touch here is how voice dictation is used to add messages to media – no microphone is required, as there’s one built into the Dual Sense pad.”
This is yet another great feature for the PS5 which was revealed today among a host of others. The PS5 UI was revealed earlier today after multiple reports suggested that the UI reveal would happen this week and that we would get an in-depth look at what we can expect.
The PS5 releases on November 12, 2020, in the US and November 19, 2020, in the EU and UK.
