I'm still using the GTX 260. It's old as shit. I'm not willing to spend more than 300 on a card either. Any ideas on what I should get? My specs are in the sig at the bottom.
If I were to settle from something in the 5 series, would it be able to use dx11 features?
Why settle?
GTX660ti or a ati 7950. You can get either in your $300 price range right now (actually slightly under with MIR)
The 660ti will struggle with AA a little bit at higher resolutions like mentioned already, but don't know what res you're playing at. The 7950 should run just about everything fine with AA turned up. Plus both cards come with free games (660 with ASSCREED 3 I believe and the 7950 with a 3in1 voucher for sleepings, far cry3 and some other stuff...)
Gonna plug my card because I've had nothing but a positive experience with it. Most games played on High settings. Far Cry 3 being the most recent with a mix of High/Ultra. (I've got an i3 2120 and 8GB Ram)
DirectX 11 capable. 150 after rebate. Obviously, if you want to spend 300, the 7950 would be the way to go. Methinks an i7 was a bit much if you were going for gaming power. Could have used that money for the GPU.

I'll look into the card you linked, and bounce back between 5 and 6 series nvidia cards.
Here you go this is what I got & it can run any game with ease & it can be easily Overclocked even more (I have mine on 950Mhz Core 1800/2000 clocks) & is a DX11 card
And a 680 is better than that.
Of course it is but he doesn't want to spend more than $300 which puts the 680 out of his Price range .but I just linked a 670 for $300 if you were willing to Pony up $300 for a GPU would you pick a 660ti or a 670 ??
Heres a PNY Card for only $279 after rebate ,That still offers a Lifetime Warranty apparently
Sweet ,You could have gotten that 670 for the same Money on Newegg but Still The 660Ti will be able to run games @ Highest settings.
For sure, I just got lazy with it. Definitely happy with my upgrade though.
