So difficult to come up with a list like this, but I agree with most of them. Does it make me an old fart that I can remember them all? :oops:

The only thing I will say is number 1 and 2 could be interchangeable - just a matter of opinion.

Yes so would I. But 1998 was my guess for top place. Damnit i was so close to being right :lol:

Good choice though for best year. I'm sure this year will be even betetr though (so many awesome titles for the platforms!)

1997-1998 are still the best years of gaming for me. I do disagree with number 1 (but still in top 3) and I would put number 2 to number 1.
That video did make a good points and I loved it that they didnt just ignore PC gaming. Many do that these days... =/

Mmmm. Nice video. <3 2007! No gaming year can ever beat BioShock, Mass Effect, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, CoD4, Portal, Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Crackdown, Crysis, etc.

2001 is second for me simply because of Halo: Combat Evolved.

:lol: I wanted to say that but I didn't wanna break any bubbles lol. But yea, 2007 really was the biggest year in the gaming industry as we know it. Though we don't even know how this year will be. GTAIV already turning out to be bigger than Halo 3...then again it is multiplat but this is definitely going to be the biggest year ever.

G4TV seems to believe so too, tune in on 28th april to get gameplay feed from GTAIV. I'm not getting paid to say this.

That game was played by millions and millions (still is) and should have been in there.

They mentioned half-life. Half-Life is CS.

CS deserves a mention of its own. It is quite distinctive from HL, and no one is playing HL 1 anymore. People still play the original CS mod.

They missed out 2004, that year MGS 3, GTA: SA, Halo 2 came out. I totally disagree with number 1.

Did you guys watch it? 1999 is none 9. One of the best games in one of the best years, proven by the amount of players and time played.

97 and 98 in my eyes were the best of times for video games, come on they didn't even mention star craft once and that came out in 98. The guy for sure didn't pick the good year.
