Does anyone use this program? A friend of mine told me about it and that they use it to play CS, but im not exactly sure how to use it at all. It would be nice if someone gave me some info..

it's for talking into your headset and stuff like that but it's Surround Sound. I just use TeamSpeak whenever I play Ut2004, it's easy to use.

They both work about equally, in my opinion. The information on it's official site should be enough to get you started.

By the way, you don't need a microphone to use it, only if you want to speak to others.

i like ventrillo more than teamspeak, a little bit more minimilist and easier to keep server records for me.

As of now, i play CS 1.6 and/or Condition Zero.

idk about 1.6, but i know source has built in voice chat. and i HATE people that use vent bc then they just have one guy sit spec and tell everyone where the enemies are. or if someone dies they start tellin them where the enemies are. for other games where voice chat isnt built in, its understandable to want a vent/ts server but for cs:s im not a fan

Yeah... Ventrilo can be used to cheat in CS, which really sucks... However, that can't really be helped . I like Ventrilo, though, I can use it to communicate with my buddies in-game and co-ordinate tactics.

i use Teamspeak for CSS. never really had a problem whit cheating whit it.

I used Ventrilo with my guild when I used to play WoW...I don't remember anymore how to use it though :? .
