What does SP mean?

I need your help, i have not been on this website that long ( joined 9-9-10) so I really don't know what SP means, so all i'm asking for is a basic understanding of it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

sp is just points you earn when you post and with that sp you can buy icon (not at the moment) or you can buy to have your usertitle changed.

It means Skill Points, it's earned by posting.
And I'm missing a few thousand :|

I see your point, and I know it's not important.........more annoying.

sorry about the whole having to start again thing guys.

we're using a completely different plugin than the one we were before. even if we did have a database of what sp everyone had, it wouldn't be compatible.

What kind of logic is that? If everybody lost their SP and started from nothing, then everybody lost something. You cannot say nobody is missing anything just because everybody is in the same boat.

TGO's analogy using a man and his wallet is a perfect example of how you are completely wrong. If you were in a group of a thousand men, each with £100, and then you all lost that money, would you say you are missing nothing? No, of course not.
