I was watching a KYR SP33DY video a little earlier about him speaking about the origins of his XBL gamertag and it got me a little curious as to whether or not you guys had any fun stories to share of how you came to acquire your online alias'.

I'll start, but unfortunately there's nothing magical here.
LM-93 is quite simply my initials, followed by my birth year.

Kinda shit but I'm hoping you guys aren't even remotely as boring as me.

Do feel free to include multiple screen names if you have a few.

There was a tube of Shockwave gel beside my computer when I started hittin' up forums, so that's that. Whenever that's taken I throw on 'Neo' at the front (RE: PSN name) because I had watched Matrix that day, too.

Nothing special!

I was originally Ghost Rhayne. He was a character in a novel I wrote when I wasa teenager. Shortened it to Ghost when I became CM.

It used to be Blacksite (to refer to the black site, Area 51) but I decided to shorten it to Black. My username now refers to the color of outer space. I thought it was a good time to make the change as well since we were entering a new era of video games so it was almost like a fresh start.

I like to think that Ghost is your Dust 514 avatar and as Community Manager you're managing operations down below or something. :snicker

Black and Shockwave also sound like elite-ish code names.

How does one shorten their name or change it completely on here without losing original stats? Seems magical or unless you work for PSU.

Anyway, my user handle.

It's obvious I'm a Dr. Dre fan. However, the first two D's, Dre and Day or DreDay come from Dr. Dre's chronic album song that was a diss to Eazy-E, the song was called Dre Day. Detox, which is what a lot of people find simpler to call me, and I love it, is on Dr. Dre's next album since 2001. It's one of those albums where you wonder if he will ever release it or if he pulls an artist-mortem release, which means, die and have it in your will to say, 'release this after I'm dead'. Detox is, in simpler terms, the Half Life 3 of the hip hop community and Dr. Dre is Gabe, constantly teasing and giving blue balls, but you wonder if you will live your entire life with the game coming out.

I'd like to shorten it to Detox though, or change it all together and combine something from South Park and The Big Lebowski, two things I live by on a daily basis.

Haha I like that!

Also, Dre, tell me what you want and your wish is my command. :) Make it count though! I'm not an advocate of multiple name changes!

Originated from when I used to E-Fed with the WWE games. And simply because I am $Greatness$. I mean, c'mon, I make "The Most Interesting Man in the World" step back and say "Damn, and I thought my life was amazing".

Signed up when I had my first Toyota Supra, Gaz being my nickname.

PSN ID: GazzaGSi comes from having a Astra GSi at the time of creating the account. Quite a car nut so most names relate to motors :D

Sweet motor there Gaz!

My original name on here was gersfc. An abbreviation of the football team I support. Gers short for Rangers and F C short for football club.

Shortened to gers thanks to Ghost :)

I've had mine since my teens, it used to be my tag back then. It's initials, from my surname, what my brother used to call me, and the last a mix of a 90's hip-hop artist and favourite animal. lol

Well my friends call me Duffman after my surname and The Simpsons and I was born in 1986, I generally use to 2 together though because whenever I sign up to something Duffman is usually taken!

My fathers username back in the very early days of the internet was Randomtox or T0x3r. I decided to keep tox as a tradition and added Cyber in front. So the username became Cybertox. I do have another username though on deviantart.

Original was Lymphatik which I used when this place was called PS3Forums. Was using that back in 2004/5 on various websites and I got it from the lymp nodes we have in our spines. Or some other BS. I heard a mix from DJ Zinc and on one of the tracks it kept looping 'Boy Betta Know, DJ Zinc, I don't care what you think' by JME (never realised this till a few years later) and it got stuck in my mind so i created a new user name with it.

The annoying thing is there is a grime collective called BBK so people assume I like grime when really I have zero interest in the genre outside of Wiley and Dizzee Rascal and a little bit of Kano

lol...

The story was about two spirit beings that existed in their own dimension who one day decide to manifest themselves as humans in our world as like an anniversary type thing (they were ageless of course so it was more just a whimsical thing). While here they are caught off guard in an accident and the female gets amnesia and forgets who and what she is. The male spirit was called Soul Phoenix, and as a result of his inability to restore his love's memory, he falls into heavy depression and despair and these feelings become so strong that they manifest a new entity called Ghost Rhayne. It's kind of a part of Soul that split off from him. Ghost was an asshole and basically took Melody (the female) away from Soul. In the flesh Ghost was handsome, charming and cunning but inside very malicious, twisted and evil and did a lot of things to keep Soul depressed.

I used to use Soul Phoenix as a handle but later on after 2 decades of depression scraped me clean inside I started to feel more like Ghost so I changed.

A lot of th details escape me. I wrote it over a decade a go for a girl I was in love with. Now it sits in some shoebox somewhere in some shed out in the wop wops of New Zealand.

lol Thanks. I've had the thought..."what if the b*tch takes it, polishes it up and gets it published" haha. I think it would be a lil cringe worthy to read over a decade later but I still like the idea. I've never thought about rewriting it, but I should some day. It wouldn't be the same because there's a lot that's faded but it could be a reboot. :D
