the ATI RADEON 9550 256MB DDR AGP Graphics Card

or the BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7300 GS 256MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card
details here
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...t&productCategoryId=cat01151&id=1140391860712

i do know the first one is better than the third but the second also? and is it that much better to pay 40 more bucks? and i want to play newer games, doom 3 quake 4 battlefeild 2 etc.. with this are they good enough?

the reason i dont have the first one in the poll is because im more likely to buy one of the other two listed, as its in my price range. and also if you have any suggestions on where to buy those or something even better at a cheaper price feel free to tell me. thanks!

Better question is...why are you shopping at best buy? Worst...Prices...Ever.

Always go to newegg.com or others for computer hardware.

Anyways, always go PCI-E if you can.

Here's some options...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814141031R
^ 7600gs 400/800mhz 12 pipes 128bit

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102657R
^ X1600XT 590/1380mhz 12 pipes 128bit

Either of those cards will give you bang-for-buck. Personally I think you get more out of ATI cards for the price, but thats up to you.

why is PCI so much better than AGP? is it how they generate or something?

also the ATI X1600XT i dont get those, i mean games and such dont list them and how do you know which are better etc?

well with what you should me i guess ill go with the ATI one the second link you gave me now.

PCI-E has more bandwith then AGP...pretty much the sole reason why its so much better.

Nvidia generally has better support when it comes to drivers, but the proformance usually comes at a slightly higher cost. If I were in your shoes I would buy the ATI.

ATI is diffenantly where it's at right now.

if you want to know what games are better look at some benchmarks on games you would like.

i say build your own. Neve go with a pre-built computer because it usually involves parts from different manufacturers. I'm still regretting having let my father buy me one a couple of years ago. It had no agp 8x. only 4x. Plus, with a 240 watt psu i couldn't really go very far.
