Has anyone watched the E3 conferences live on the ps3 browser in the past?

With no access to a pc at home and not wanting to miss this years e3 i may try to watch it on the ps3, but would like to know if it will work as some sites crash my ps3 like trying to run anything off gametrailers.

For the past 2 years I've been streaming it live from my PS3 and will be doing it this time as well, so in short, it can be done.

awesome :)

Any reccommendations of which site is best to watch them on, or what sites did you stream them on?

@ddplanet: live text is fine but not what I'm after when the live video streams are avilable to watch.

It's almost time for the biggest video game trade show of the year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo! This June 14, E3 returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center, and GameSpot will be there to bring you the latest updates on all the hottest games. This will be the biggest show yet. Not only will we have three days of live stage shows and more live press conferences, but for the first time ever, we'll also have live coverage of nightly events and a live, interactive camera roaming the show floor all day long. That's a whole lot of live, and you can only get it here on GameSpot!

So save the date, set your bookmark, put in your time-off request, vote for your most anticipated game, and get ready for the future, because E3 is coming back. Are you ready for it?
no idea if it will work on ps3 or not

I know that alot of sites will be streaming the conferences live. my question is whether or not they will work fine with the ps3 browser.

The ps3 browser, in my opnion, isnt very stable and can crash on sites like facebook and gametrailers.

Gametrailers is the cause for concern as if I can stream trailers off that site then chances are the live streams may not work; which is why I wanted to know whether or not others have watched the conferences live on the ps3 in the past,

I've forgotten which site I watched it from but a few days before e3 PSU will have a thread listing all possible websites where it is streaming. It's just trial and error to see which ones stream the best on the PS3 however I can assure you it works. Nothing better than watching it on a large tv rather than sitting at a computer.

It would be awesome if Sony released some sort of E3 streaming app available for free download on PSN. *drools*

Aaaanyway. Last year i watched E3 on my PS3 browser and i intend on doing the same this year. I think i used a couple of websites last year and i remember one of the feeds crashing (right on the Uncharted 2 demo too! But i got it up and running again).

My advice is don't us GTTV. I used to use them a lot before but one of the FW updates bricked it (and the PS Blog's own videos). I used Justin.TV last year and i think i will do that again unless a better option turns up.

It should work, because it's just flash. Assuming you have a fast enough connection to stream.

Personally I'd rather download the conference from PSN, as Sony uploads it right away in HD.

I'm pretty impatient. I also want to see the conference as it happens. :)

Looks like it is Justin or Gamespot.

Edit: Gamespot's videos seem to work very nicely on PS3. I think i might try these guys. At least i can have my 'test run' with MS before the big day for Sony. ;)

Gamespot's E3 site
