I think the shooting sucks ass lol.
For me, I am already bored with Fallout 4. None of those other games had me feeling bored at any time. Maybe it is because it feels like a remastered version of Fallout 3. The only thing I really like about Fallout 4, is the ability to build my own town. I actually spend all my time doing that and don't even care about the rest of the game.
the shooting is hard in this game, especially on the consoles so i give you that but the shooting is supposed to be a hit and miss because it's an RPG, not a shooter. which can turn off people but i don't mind it because i don't think of it as a shoot but rather an RPG like valkryie chronicles.
He pretty much mentions almost everything others having been saying and criticising the game for, but he's missed a lot too. So I shall pass across two more videos that mentions what he does and goes much deeper into the game.

oh yeah i don't disagree at all, in fact, if you go to the OT, you will find that i complained the most XD but once i played the game in third person and seeing how i've been wanting a proper 3rd person game for so long. this became a unique thing for me. here i have a game by DICE who have provided me with the best online shooter (BF4) and I love Star Wars (seen all episodes, even the stupid ones) and i haven't played a good third person shooter in like i donno 10 years.
so this became a very special game for me. also because this is one of the very few games (even BF4 doesn't have this) that you don't need to "aim" to shoot, you can take out people even at medium and sometimes long-range without even pressing the aim button, but of course it helps when you zoom in but it's not required and most of the time, i work on my footwork rather than aim to be strategic, which makes the battles unlike any other shooter out there, except SOCOM which again i haven't played in over 10 years.
my only issue with it is the content. BUT i knew that they would have to add more content to please their users which they are trying but i'm not letting that go, i still think that's worth a class action suit against EA and i've written quite a bit about their devious practices.
but it's a bittersweet sort of thing for me, DICE are a great developer and I have a huge dislike for their publisher so while I complain about them, i can't stop myself from playing their games because they just make good games.
i can already confirm that i'm pretty much done with all the unlocks in the game, yeah that's pathetic considering I still need to unlock attachments on BF4 after 2 years of the game being out and i still haven't experienced so many weapons in the game. also they keep coming out with fresh content on BF4, we just had a couple of new maps for free and one more coming out this month.
anyway back to star wars, the reason why i picked it as GotY isn't by looking at the game for what it is and not what it needed to be in order to be a proper battlefront sequel. because i haven't played the older battlefront game and i never will because i like next-gen stuff lol, for me this game is pretty fun playing online in 3rd person. even without the content, that's what level cap said as well. and i have similar complaints as he does too but overall you can see him still saying it's a great game because of how authentic it feels to the movies, which i agree with, in fact, there are maps in the game that look very close to how they were in the movie. which is definitely a great experience.
overall i think it's the best game this year because there aren't any other games i can think of on the PS4. not counting PC or X1. or...Wii U...
P.S. it has the best implementation of a jet pack i've ever seen. it's strategic without being too much. it's used as a defensive way to play (has a 20 sec cooldown) but can be used to attack but it's nothing like COD where it completely changes the dynamic because people are always jumping and jetpacking. this makes the jet packs very fun to use and they take up a slot so not everyone is going to have it.
This exactly. It just isn't exciting me unfortunately, can't get the buzz. 2+ days playtime in and I've gone all floppy.
sounds like an innuendo lol
Maybe because I never played the older games but I'm loving it. I've only come across one bug in my 30 odd hours, which is quite a severe bug (I have to limit my frame-rate to 60fps before leaving a terminal otherwise the game crashes), but other than that it's been solid.
being 60fps would be a huge deal for me. it would make me love the game a lot more. alas it's not even 30fps on the consoles unless you're in spots where the frame rate is more stable. if you're around buildings and a lot of props, it goes below 30fps, sometimes closer to 10fps.
and especially if you haven't played the previous FO games, i can totally see why you'd love it. it is an awesome game, i'm just taking it slower because i've been there, done that.
the game is basically like oblivion but for shooters. it's probably based on the same engine.
