I tried to get through his blog post but holy hell. Couldn't do it. This guy sounds a bit insane. But is there proof that she was intentionally doing it for favor of positive press? I didn't look through it all. Didn't know if that was on there. I did see a bunch of articles defending her honor which is just fucking dumb. Just stay out of it. She fucked up and has to suffer the consequences. I'm guessing she is a hardcore feminist is why she is getting so much ruthless hate? I'm not real familiar with her.

I got the gist of the whole thing though. Scorned boyfriend aired her dirty laundry. Not it's turned into a big clusterfuck. I'm just mostly curious if there is proof that she actually did it for the press.

Oh there's no doubt, this guy is spineless and should have gone full exterminatus on her and that relationship the second he got even a hint of this. Still, the fact that she's being protected and defended when this is HER doing is just galling.

The fact that she screwed the married man who was hiring her (and is now her boss) while dating her boyfriend seems to imply she was at least using sex for self advancement in my opinion. But I'm not much concerned about 'the bigger picture' beyond observing the social phenomena surrounding it all.

Edit: What is happening PS4freak is massive censoring on various large community sites (reddit, 4chan) which attempt to speak about the issue\her or criticize her. Mass post removals, bannings, etc is what I'm hearing. It's bizarre.

That place is a SJW-Gamer haven. I see it all the time there, and even in the Halo thread with that chick Dax. Whenever something goes wrong she 'rings' an admin who she is personally friends with, and he exonerates her and often bans people.

To be fair, I've only seen it happen in that Halo thread but the community acts as if this is a normal occurrence (several offered themselves up to be banned just to call the guy out on it, but they have a zero tolerance policy of questioning the mods).

Yep, I was banned there last week for offering a well-reasoned opinion that was critical of a woman. It's astonishing that they literally ban people for having opinions they don't agree with.

The reason that forum is so protective of women and feminism is because they ban everyone who either criticizes it or criticizes the moderation that silences it.

So when I saw they didn't even allow discussion on Zoe Quinn's hypocrisy, it made their bias even more clear.

Feminism has a monopoly on social equality. Because of this many people see only two choices: Be a feminist or be a sexist. So questioning or criticizing feminism (or outright denying it as a personal world view) must obviously mean you're a bad person.

"Shame on you. Stop oppressing women," they say. "Be quit you misogynist," they shout as you defend yourself. They'll then prescribe whatever definition best suits their own agenda or defense in that moment, despite their own actions and the focus of the group at large. I've seen and gone through it numerous times.

I've come to the conclusion that feminism is divided in smaller subgroups around the world and their ideologies vary a lot. And putting them all under the same roof is a bit unfair.

As for agendas, I agree, everyone has one. If you are looking for faults you'll definitely find some.

I've never met a feminist in my life. Guess it's just something about where we live. There is much more mutual respect as a whole. But the only feminist you ever see in media are the hardcore feminist that scream words like misogynist and sexist on a usual basis. Of course they give a bad name too the ones that actually just want respect and not unrealistic expectations from society.

Edit: Apparently there's a second wave of shadowbans going across Reddit. That is any group in general that feel they have received injustice. There is very little middle ground. Only what stand well on their ground. Feminism in gaming does exist to an extent but nothing like the proportions they portray it. Do I want equality on all sides of the spectrum. Absolutely! Would make for a much more peaceful and easier world to live in. Sadly the world has devolved into a have your cake and eat it too mentality. Why can't we all just get along!!!

Money, plain and simple. Its never been about 'feminism' and 'equal rights'. That is just a red herring, convenient and profitable. 20 years ago we didn't have these problems because gaming wasn't mainstream and was considered just for kids. Now that an individual game is making 1 billion in a week (GTAV), everyone wants a slice of the pie anyway they can get it. They want fame and money.
