It seems that there are a number of XB supporters and multi-plat gamers in this community so curious what you guys are willing to pay (in US dollars) to get an Xbox One.

There have been a few rumors about a price drop so I added this as a couple of poll options.

At present Forza 5 is the only game on X1 that I'd really want and I'm not buying a console $500 or otherwise for one game. Down the road if it got a bunch of exclusives then maybe for $299 because I certainly wouldn't be buying multiplatform games for it. But most likely I'll be skipping the Xbone all together. So I voted not planning to buy one.

Things could change, but right now I'm not getting one. Already bought two PS4s. If MS comes up with some exclusives down the road that excite me AND drops the price.....I'll reconsider.

I REALLY like the look of Killer Instinct and I could get into Project Spark...but I don't trust is MS's vision enough to invest in its console. Maybe when it gets to the €300 mark without Kinect I'll grab it if there are more games I want to play but to be honest I'll be on PS3 mostly until DUST 514 goes to PS4.

After the shit storm they created I just can't pull myself to buy the system this gen, I had originally planned on getting both, but after that debacle last year I just can't, especially since it is inferior to the PS4 in my opinion...guess I will wait to see what the Xbox Two brings (if that division is still around in 5-7 years)...

There's nothing exclusive on the Xbox One that perks my interest. Because of that, I wouldn't spend even 50$ on it. Microsoft needs to win me over. The only upcoming game for it that I want is Halo 2 Anniversary, and that's just not going to cut it.

Maybe I'll pick one up after a slim, Kinect-less model releases for like 200-300$. I'm sure by then it'll have some good games for it.

Besides the fact that I think the xbone is one ugly motherf***er, ms have no games I am interested in...neither am I a fan of what they are doing with killer instinct...its bollocks. Classic game, but shit purchasing individual characters blah blah.

300 pound. For a console that seemingly will always be second best it has to be cheaper from all reports kinect is still somewhat of a pain to the majority. Ps already has the majority share of consoles and with more devs saying ps will run better frames or higher resolution most people buying a gaming console will go with Sony. People buying something for their family to enjoy will probably be swayed towards xbox1 with all the functions it has but if Sony plays catch up on the tv/ home integration front I can't see how ms can catch up. Ms talked a lot about the cloud but as far as I can see they have only shown some driveatars from forza though I stand to be corrected. Meanwhile Sony have opened up a streaming service and have plans to release it not only to console owners but everybody. They have taken ms live idea and run with it and it seems they have caught ms off guard. I have said in a previous post and I will say again I expect Sony to strap a ps4 to the back of a tv soon and offer a complete online experience. Download games, movies whatever, we already have smart tvs doing the tv/video side of things and tvs are upgraded more often than games consoles, if they release it think how many home units they would ship as opposed to a stand alone console

Then you won't get one lol.

Not sure what your Forza criteria is. If what is already out there isn't for you, I doubt it'll be much different for the next year or more.
Never getting G25/27 support, officially.
Price drop... beyond the rumors, it's not happening either.

Nice of you to address me exclusively F34R :) I don't know if I want Forza (5 is it?) as I haven't educated myself on that particular title. As for logitech support, that was the problem with the 360 for my sake.

Your list was definitely a list that was in my head when I was thinking of buying it.

Yeah, I felt the same way initially. I finally caved and when the Fanatec route. Now I have had to start all over again. I was hesitant, at first, to get the Thrustmaster XB1 wheel. I'm glad I did though.

Remove Kinect and take like $250 off the price and I'd start caring.

Microsoft and their timed exclusives and destruction of franchises I like isn't worth much to me after being burned from the 360. Bring more actual exclusives plz

$250-$300. It's killing me not getting one since I've been strictly an Xbox gamer since the original Xbox and all of my friends are on the One. Unfortunately, there is nothing drawing me to it, especially at $500.

There are a couple factors that would cause me to buy one. I wouldn't get one until about $250 with no Kinect. I have a PS4 right now and I'm content. So far the lineup from MS hasn't really intrigued me so if down the road that changes I would likely buy one.

I wish I bought it for $250 and w/o kinect. lol. That probably won't happen for a few years though. I couldn't wait that long. I've spent a LOT just to play Forza and KI lol.

Console ~ $500
TM wheel ~ $400
Cockpit ~ $380
Forza ~ $60
KI ~ $40

Total to play two games - $1380.00!!! Yikes.

Compare that to PS4 lol.

PS4 $400
Six games - $160

Total - $560.00

bought day ONE Xbox to use Kinect 2.0 and carry on with my multi-plat gaming. thought it would be just a case of unplugging 360 and connecting Xbox.

sadly MS have fucked up so much with this console at this time, wish't i'd waited a few months and knowing what i know now. i'd not buy an Xbox at any price, with or without Kinect.

edit...
i tell a lie, i'd buy an Xbox for Project Spark.

Damn! You must really like Forza lol. I usually buy multiple systems every gen. Cost usually plays a big part in it. Last gen I got a 360 shortly after launch and PS3 after a price drop. I'm more hesitant this time around though because last gen I spent much more time on 360 in the beginning then I got much more into PS3 after a couple years. After Mass Effect went multiplatform I didn't really touch my 360. So I might save myself the money this time and just stick with one but who knows. I might get a bug and buy one on a whim. I do that from time to time.

my explanation...

- $350 is the absolute must buy price point w/Kinect or without...as i view the hardware to be less valuable that the PS4 at $400

- $400 w/ Kinect would be a SERIOUS temptation

- $400 w/o Kinect would garner heavy consideration

- $400 w/o Kinect and a pack in exclusive game (Forza, Titanfall, Halo, Gears) would probably result in a buy

I love playing the game for sure. It has its cons list too though. The only thing I'm waiting on next is a full motion sim cockpit. That's being worked on now. ;)

It's not really about the price. I can afford an Xbox One at the current price. It's about the games. My base rule for a second console is 10 exclusives I have to have. Right now I don't think there's anything I really have to have.

$400 price point w/ kinect would tempt me more, but really I am waiting for a 1TB console, or maybe the slim which could have someway to upgrade the HDD.

I wont even be seriously looking at this gen till I'm ready and have finished everything I have on the current system.
Then, I'll take a look and see where the chips lay.
But to me its going to be more about its price relative to the PS4.
I would consider it if its on the same price as the PS4 (with Kinect).
Or considerably cheaper than the PS4 (without Kinect).
