Upcoming Bloodborne patch set to improve loading times, performance

The time it takes to load between zones in Bloodborne, as our official review indicates, may be one of the very few flaws in the PlayStation 4’s arguably first massive, next-generation exclusive; but Sony has indicated that loading times will be assessed shortly.

In an official statement extended to IGN.com, Sony has its sights on shortening the down time in Bloodborne. IGN’s quoted prose is as follows:

"The development team is currently exploring another patch for Bloodborne, seeking ways to improve load time duration, in addition to other performance optimisations and miscellaneous bug fixes. We will provide more information as soon as possible."

Details regarding particular bugs and optimizations weren’t disclosed, but with the overall experience in Bloodborne as engrossing as it is, the idea that the game will only improve is even more appealing.
