The Witcher 3 dev says there’s ‘little difference’ between 900p/1080p

The developer behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has said there’s little difference between 900p and 1080p in reference to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the upcoming fantasy RPG.

Speaking with GamingBolt, CD Projekt RED’s Michał Krzemiński that numbers matter little when it comes to The Witcher 3, with the player’s experience being the most important factor.

Quizzed why the studio has been showcasing all three versions of the game, particularly when the Xbox One version is currently running at 900p, he replied:

The answer is simple, we’re very confident of what we’ve managed to achieve. The Witcher is simply a good game, regardless of the platform you choose to play it on

You noted that we’ve shown the game on all platforms [in the recent preview event]. We did this also to show that there’s little difference between 1080p and 900p in terms of the actual experience you get. These numbers are just numbers, it’s the adventure and thrill you get from playing the game that counts.”

The Witcher 3 is scheduled for release in May for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
