PS4-exclusive Bloodborne should win Game of the Year, says Shuhei Yoshida

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS), has said that the PlayStation 4-exclusive Bloodborne should scoop the Game of the Year prize at the Game Awards 2015 next month.

In addition, the executive also championed Until Dawn, the PS4 teen horror from developer Supermassive Games, which he reckons is a firm contender for picking up Best Narrative at December’s ceremony. Check out his Tweets below.

Bloodborne was released in March and will be re-released under the Game of the Year branding later this month alongside the upcoming The Older Hunter expansion. Those of you who pre-ordered the DLC can now start pre-loading the content ahead of its November 24 release. Set from a third-person viewpoint, Bloodborne has players controlling a mysterious hero known as The Hunter, who battles a series of grotesque creatures within the gothic-inspired city of Yharnam, the inhabitants of which have fallen victim to a blood-born disease—hence the game’s title. Until Dawn was released in August for the PS4 and was originally conceived as a PS3 game back in 2012, which would have made use of the PlayStation Move controller. After a long period of silence on the project, including rumors of a cancelation, Sony re-revealed the horror title at Gamescom 2014 for the PS4.
