Even though Modern Warfare Remastered is available for free as a downloadable code that you get if you purchase the physical Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition this week, you’ll still need to have the Infinity Warfare disc in your machine to play it.
It’s a bit of an inconvenience because if you want to sell CoD: IW then you can longer play CoD: MW Remastered. Nice moves, Activision.
If you’re thinking of picking up the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered standalone edition, then you can grab that when it launches on July 28, 2017.
CoD: MW Remastered ncludes a number of enhancements over the original 2007 release, including high-definition visuals and improved sound effects, plus updated multiplayer maps.
