Amazon Games Inks Deal With Maverick Games To Publish Open-World Driving Game For PS5, PC, And Xbox Series X/S

Amazon Games has announced it has secured a publishing partnership with Maverick Games to distribute a new open-world, narrative-focussed driving game for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

Fronted by Harder Sangha, who previously worked at Sega Hardlight and Sumo Lemington, Maverick Games was formed only two years ago and features a number of core team members behind the critically acclaimed Xbox racing franchise. The team is based in Warwick, UK, and boasts a team of more than 60 individuals, and includes Mike Brown, who previously worked on the Forza Horizon franchise.

Christoph Hartmann, VP of Amazon Games, commented:

In our ongoing global search for talented development teams who are building compelling titles that players will love, Maverick Games stood out as a studio that can deliver on all fronts. Mike and his team are the total package — proven game developers who are masters at their craft and aren’t content with the status quo. Their vision for this game is fresh and innovative, and we’re looking forward to working alongside them to bring it to players around the world.

Amazon Games is also involved in the new Tomb Raider game currently in development at Crystal Dynamics, although that project has yet to be revealed in full. Similarly, we don’t have any further details on the new driving game from Maverick Games, but it’s obviously still in the early stages of production.
