Activision has lifted the wraps off the new Spiritborn class for Diablo IV, which will be launching alongside the new Nahantu region as part of the Vessel of Hatred expansion on October 8, 2024.
Spiritborn is a brand new class for the critically acclaimed dungeon crawler, which calls on the strengths of four Spirit Guardians — Jaguar, Gorilla, Eagle, Centipede. The Spiritborn nails from the Nahantu region, which is also new to the expansion, and are dedicated to protecting the Spirit Realm, which is a ghostly reflection of Sanctuary where the souls of the jungle have been given purpose beyond life.
Players will also have access to new Legendaries and Uniques alongside the Vessel of Hatred expansion, which are tailored to the Spiritborn and can lean into the varying play styles of the Spirit Guardians. Furthermore, a new class quest for Spiritborn will become available once you have reached level 15, which will give you access to the Spirit Hall.

Use the Spirit Hall to enhance a Spiritborn build by choosing a Primary Spirit for a special bonus and the addition of the Spirit’s Skill Tag to all Skills. At Level 30, players can choose a secondary bonus from the same Guardian or a different one that will either strengthen the bond or intertwine it with another Guardian’s mechanics.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is due out on October 8, 2024.
