Electronic Arts has published its 2023: Year In Gaming for a list of some interesting stats on the likes of Apex Legends and Battlefield 2042 among others.
As 2023 wraps up, we reflect on an exciting year powered by interactive entertainment. 2023: Year in Gaming highlights the ways games continue to evolve beyond the bounds of play. As the definition of games continues to expand, we remain focused on building games and experiences that entertain massive online communities, creating blockbuster interactive storytelling, and amplifying the power of community in and around our games with social and creator tools.
With Apex Legends, the publishing giant revealed that players looted 129 million bins, while the Ring caused 81.8 million deaths. Over on the Battlefield 2042 front, players caused 996 million revives, and completed 387 million weekly missions.
Meanwhile, Star Wars Jedi Survivor saw players defeat 4.8 billion enemies and collect 26.1 million bounties. In addition, players planted 65.4 million garden seeds. EA Sports FC 24 also saw some impressive stats, with 772 million Women’s Player items featured in the starting XI of Football Ultimate Team matches, while players logged 17. Billion Cross-Play matches.
