Kotaku has been bothering Hollywood director Ari Arad for news of his latest project, a film adaptation of the PlayStation 3 classic, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. No casting details are available yet, we’re afraid, but Arad had plenty to say about Naughty Dog’s cinematic action adventure.
"The best thing about Drake is he’s not an archeologist,” he said. “He’s not a benevolent guy, but he’s certainly not a great guy. Indiana Jones was always a good guy and he relentlessly did the right thing. Drake is a guy who’s being hauled over to virtue throughout the game."
Arad plans to "mix things up a bit" when it comes to the film, chiefly by filling in the picture prior to Drake’s journey to the island. He’s also keen to get viewers thinking about modern-day South American piracy, which Naughty Dog had already researched in creating the game.
Plenty more after the link, but watch out for spoilers.
