Kojima already "thinking" about Metal Gear Solid 5

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has said that he already starting to consider plans for a fifth instalment in the popular stealth franchise, despite claims that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be his last contribution in the series.

Speaking in the latest issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine, Kojima commented, “I gotta start thinking about MGS5… Even though, well, Snake’s story ends in MGS4."

“…About MGS5, that would be something that Kojima Productions would have to make, I think.”

Although it is common knowledge that MGS4 is to be the last in the series featuring Solid Snake, Konami recently hinted that it is likely there would be future Metal Gear titles, though Kojima’s involvement in any future projects was believed to have been ruled out following previous comments indicating he wishes to move on from the franchise.

We’ll bring you more on Konami’s plans for the Metal Gear Solid series as soon as they become available.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is due out exclusively on PS3 on June 12, 2008.
