Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has revealed on Twitter that the Hawaii map in upcoming sequel Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is around three time as large as Yakuza: Like A Dragon’s Isezaki Ijincho map. If you didn’t play that game and still want an idea how big it is, then it’s nine times as big as Kamurocho, the series’ classic setting.
This makes Hawaii easily the biggest location in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series to date and features multiple districts to explore. The main setting is named Honolulu City, and is complemented by Aloha Beach, the Anaconda Shopping Centre, Chinatown, and the mafia-infested District 5.
The size of the map probably isn’t surprising as RGG Studio previously revealed that Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is ‘longer than anything we’ve made so far,’ and unlike Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name, is a full sequel and not a spin-off.
Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth is scheduled for release on January 26, 2024 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
