Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be playable at Gamescom 2015 this week

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be playable at Gamescom 2015 and will also receive a brand new trailer at the event, developer DICE has announced.

Speaking on the game’s official website, community boss Vincent Vukovic also took the time to answer a few questions from fans, specifically the nature of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s place in the series.

While he didn’t state outright if the game was a prequel, sequel or reboot, Vukovic described the title as a new experience but also something that would honor the first game. In addition, Catalyst will also look at the origins of protagonist Faith.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be released for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One in February 2016. The game features an open-world to explore, allowing gamers to undertake side challenges and explore at their leisure when not tackling the story missions.
