UPDATE:
The trailer is now live!
ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is the upcoming 2D action side-scrolling adventure from Ubisoft Montpellier that we already know is arriving next month on January 18, 2024.
With the release date little more than a month away, Ubisoft had planned to showcase it again during tonight’s Game Awards show, however the trailer accidentally went live a little earlier than it was meant to.
Wario64 on Twitter caught it before the video was made private, and discovered that ahead of its January 18 release date, players will be able to try it out themselves with a demo arriving on January 11, 2024.
While the accidental posting of the trailer has robbed us from the surprise of finding out we’ll all have a chance to try the game before it launches, it is still a good thing for players to have in mind.
Especially since this will be the first new Prince Of Persia game in some time, despite a remake of the popular Sands Of Time being announced first, a troubled development cycle has pushed it further back in the schedule.
Hopefully The Lost Crown can reignite some excitement around the franchise, now that Ubisoft is finally getting back to it, and this demo could potentially help kick start that if it impresses players.
