It’s been another busy week in the world of PlayStation with the major news being the arrival of PS4 update 4.50, which brought with it a host of dazzling new features, including the highly anticipated PS4 Pro Boost mode. Some of the PS4 Pro Boost Mode compatible games look fabulous, though not everyone was happy with the notification changes.

We re-launched our PS4 wallpapers section with a dazzling array of PlayStation themes. Following the firmware patch, you simply have to point your PS4 browser at the wallpaper gallery and you can download great themes and set them as your PS4 wallpaper.

The PlayStation Plus March 2017 games also landed on the PlayStation Store for PS Plus subscribers and included a handful of free games, including:

  • Tearaway Unfolded
  • Disc Jam
  • Lumo
  • Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late
  • Earth Defense Force 2025
  • Severed

PlayStation VR became even more useful outside of playing games with an update to the LittlStar VR Cinema app, which allows users to watch 3D PSVR porn through their virtual reality headsets, while Sony told us how we can jump right into the Gran Turismo Sport beta.

Bungie lifted the lid on the last major update for Destiny, spilling the beans on the Age of Triumph, while Hello Games emerged from the shadows with a brand new No Man’s Sky update.

The Ghost Recon Wildlands review signalled a return of one of Ubisoft’s best franchises, though another of Ubisoft’s games, For Honor, has been frustrating gamers with its server issues.

Hype is building this week too for the arrival of Mass Effect Andromeda, which is getting some free multiplayer DLC, and there were rumors flying around about a PS5 release date.
