Sony Announces A State Of Play Event For Tomorrow Focusing On”Previously Announced” Third-Party And Indie Titles Coming To PS5, PS VR2, And PS4

Sony has announced there will be a State Of Play showcase event hosted tomorrow, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BT.

It’ll be focusing on “previously announced” third-party and indie titles, coming to PS5, PS VR2 and PS4, which means that we shouldn’t be expecting to see any announcements regarding first-party, PlayStation Studios titles.

A third-party and indie focused State Of Play likely isn’t what most fans wanted to see from a September event which was heavily rumoured to be happening, mainly because PlayStation has held an event between September and October for the last few years.

You’ll be able to check out the State Of Play when it goes live for yourself, below.

As far as what could be at this State Of Play, if there are PlayStation VR2 titles to be showcased, even though the event is said to focused on titles already announced, a reveal of Half-Life: Alyx coming to the headset.

It’s the kind of game that could really be revitalizing for a platform that is still struggling out of the gate. Regarding indies, it would be a pie-in-the-sky hope to see Hollow Knight: Silksong appear, at least that’s a previously announced game.

Thankfully we won’t have to wait long to see the crop of games that appear.
