The Last Of Us HBO Series To Debut ‘Closer To Early 2023’

HBO chief Casey Bloys has revealed during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter that HBO’s The Last of Us series will debut ‘closer to early 2023.’

Nothing else was revealed during the interview regarding The Last of Us, but at least we have a good idea of when to expect the series to premiere. The show is an adaptation of Naughty Dog’s 2013 post-apocalyptic horror title, and features Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, respectively.

From what we’ve seen from on-set leaks, The Last of Us will stick pretty closely to the source material, and appears to include sections from the start of the outbreak.

In addition, we’ve also seen glimpses of the hospital from the first game that Joel and Ellie visit, as well as the university. The Last of Us is also bolstering its cast with Nick Offerman as Bill, Storm Reid as Riley, and Anna Torv as Tess.

The Last of Us HBO is expected to premiere in early 2023.
