Apparently, the biggest outcry with sports games are apparently that they are a hideous 30 frames per second. 2K Games takes consideration to this issue, and promises that their upcoming sports games will run at 60 frames per second on the PS3. "Our PS3 version does run at 60 frames per second," said 2K Sports PR Manager Anthony Chau states.
With the help of Sony's tools, and their support, 2K games will always be delivering games at 60 fps. "It's pretty tough on PS3 but I think it's because most developers have had the Xbox 360 longer in terms of development than the PS3," says Chau. Luckily, with this Sony and 2K games relationship, developers at EA will definitely try harder and can no longer use an excuse to explain for the lack of quality in their games.

It's about time and I usually prefer 2k to EA because the game play is better.
This is going to be interesting to see what happens when the NFL contract is up with EA. I wonder if they will see the crap EA is putting out and not renew??
Dats whats up.. 2K got EA $hiting in their pants.. Hopefully something can be figured out on this licensing BS.. But thats will have to be in the next 3 or 4 years..
ya whens the next sports game 2k7 is coming out with?? i have the baseball one its not to great
psn id: gingo.... yay 2k can actually be bothered making a decent sports game for ps3, EA get ur act together because u suck
2k > EA
I hate that EA has that exclusivity contract with the NFL, if 2k8 had been an NFL game it would've been a no brainer but I'm not sure if I wanna pick up all-pro or not.
EA listen up you lazy devs...
rival, yo brain can only process 30 per sec mine can process up to 90 2k got my cash!!!
yay this is good for evry1 see now 2k games r gunna b good and ea will hav to get their s***together :)
2K baby, FTW.
Nice. I can't wait for my NHL 2K8 on the PS3
@rivel, you completely miss the point ^^ you should learn and take information before posting..
60fpx vs 30fps have a hugh impact. just search online
2k always provide great value games, it's a shame they cant get the licenses sooner. I only buy Madden and NHL now for the EA Sports licenses, but I'd return back to 2k should they get the licenses next time round.
The brain can process much more than 120 frames pers second and see a difference - those of who remember CRT monitors will validate the flicker we saw even upto 75hz and beyond. 24fps is the generally accepted minimum for the illusion of motion (though eve 12 or 18 is ok for many) - we see many 100hz / 120hz TVs because people CAN see the differences.
I love 2k they create the best sports games. It'[s a shame that they cant create football games for now but they can dominate the other sports until that time, and with all there games running at 60fps they will slowly creep up on EA and swoop in for the kill.
