Max Payne theatrical trailer releasedAs Electronic Arts holds a firm grip on the sports videogame market, it ultimately leaves them with little competition, thus affording EA Sports the freedom of developing titles with no sense of trepidation.
Enter 2K Sports, the videogame industries second major development studio of Sports titles, and the unveiling of a new sporting franchise at last night’s Spike TV’s videogame award show.
Last night at the Spike TV VGA was a night a glory for videogames with Samuel L. Jackson as the host and body painted females as envelopes. Interesting enough, Don King, the world’s most famous boxing promoter showed up with American flags and all to reveal the new 2K Sports title, Don King Presents: Prizefighter.
“In all my years working in professional boxing, I have never seen anything come as close to creating the thrill, the intensity, the courage and the spectacle of the sport," commented King.
"Don King Presents: Prizefighter is more than a game - it is a glimpse at what life is like in and out of the ring for these incredible athletes."
Coming April 2008, Don King Presents: Prizefighter is expected to give EA’s Fight Night some tough competition. Stay tuned to PSU, as we will bring you more on Prizefighter as soon as it hits.

Look the thing is its probebly like the Rainbow Six Vegas 2 thing - they forgot to annouce it for the PS3 or havent signed any deals yet. Obviously it'll take a good while for this to come out still, so I'm sure they'll annouce it for the PS3 and PSP soon. Fight Night Round 3 was great, and ive been itchin for another boxing title. The Fight Night series are the only sport games i like.

I understand people are down on EA for Madden issuses and other games, but I am soory I don't think 2K Sports can mess around with Fight Night. It is to good of a game for 2K Sports to compete with.
Anything to rival EA Sports! I love 2k, they can give them a run for their money.
psn id: gingo... looks like 2K are trying to compete with EA in every sports department that doesn't already have a competitor becasue i dont see them doing a football game (soccer)

you know i laugh when i read all your little comments on this site and about 90% of them have nothing good to say about ea.... but take a look at your games i can guarantee you all have EA games and i can guarantee you all really enjoy most of them and the fact is dispite all their faults they do put out a lot of quality games and yet still in the future you all will continue to wine and complain about the new EA games that come out and then go out and buy them anyway.... so how bout you all start looking at the things that are right with them instead of every little dam detail that could be better! P.S 2kSPORTS SUCKS!! EASPORTS ALL THE WAY
