Analysts expect PlayStation 3 to outsell 360 in March

The PS3 is likely to outsell the Xbox this month, according to stock analyst website.
SimExchange reports that this month, the PS3 will probably shift more units than the 360, something it has not done since the end of 2007. Sales of the two consoles have been fairly similar since then, with the 360 selling just that bit more than the PS3. Though there have been conflicting reports through the NPD that show the PlayStation 3 has been consistently outselling the Xbox 360 throughout 2008 thus far, however, the NPD does not take Wal-mart into account when tallying up their totals.
SimExchange is a website that lets people play around with virtual stocks concerning the video game market, so validity of these claims are questionable. In the real world, sales of the PS3 were good last week, so maybe there is some truth in what they say?
What’s driving these sales is a mystery, but unfortunately the poor sods will be lumped with 40 gig units.

PSN: ScorpionT16....Well, yeh the ps3 will outsell the Xbox, Xbox owners are probably on their third ring of death xbox by now and pissed, also as new Tv;s come out and Blu-ray won the HD war, there is no doubt PS3 will win! Espesiially when Dualshok3 comes out, along with the MGS4 bundle and the european GT5 bundle...Sony has made some long term decisions that will prove themselves woth this year! Xbox360 rushed out, this is sony's third genration in a console, microsoft is still a rookie!

Im sure the PS3 will outsell the 360 up untill June. April looks good with the release of the Dual Shock 3 and Gran Turismo Prologue. May sees the release of HAZE. June is an automatic win for PS3 because of MGS4. The PS3 will possibly gain boosts due to the releases of HOME, a PS Store revision and news for Motorstorm 2, Eight Days, Resistance 2.

it might probably.........June is going to be a great game for the PS3 MGS4 is going to be a hit!......Microsoft is so stupid that they didn't make a bundle for the ninja gaiden 2 release(kinda like the halo edition) that would really rise up their sells(a lot!)....... poor bastards

I eat breakfast, ihave lunch, nothing satisfys my day like a 360 munch
When dinner arrives i grow grim, through i have no time to polish the rim (of my ps3)
Though the day is over, i always know, the ps3 rules and THE XBOX JUST SUX!!!!!

I also think that the PS3 might outsell the Xbox 360 in March as well but it will probably just barely outsell it. With the recent news of God of War 3 and the Official release date of Metal Gear Solid 4 revealed in combination with the other blockbuster PS3 exclusives on the way, people are finally hopping aboard the PS3 train and are going for the ride with the rest of us.
The Xbox 360 doesn't have another major title until around this Summer with Ninja Gaiden 2, however, Ninja Gaiden 2 has no where the amount of star power that Metal Gear Solid 4 will have.
I really don't expect the Xbox 360 to have another great increase in Xbox 360 sales until at least late this year when Gears of War 2 comes out.

Well 1st of all it's already outselling the 360 worldwide, and it did outsell it in january in NA. In june when MGS4, GT5:P, Haze and Socom(and hopefully HOME) will come out it will have a huge push in sales. You can also factor in the few great movies coming out in blu-ray format by then.

heck ya ps3 is better i might be working a side job for a e person at my church just splitting would my friend says the guy will pay good. might buy a new controller and some games. i know the ps3 will outsell the 360

With all the good games coming out between March and September, it'd be news if the PS3 didn't outsell the 360.

with 360 price drop i doubt it!
its still expensive tho u still need a wi fi adapter, online subscription and a charge kit for your control pad 360 still = rip off and even after having to buy all that stuff still dont have blu ray like ps3!!
360 = some good games but very poor console, just buy games on the pc !!

Hmmmm. As far as the PS3 outselling the Xbox 360 in March, I think that it might, but I'm expecting that PS3 sales and Xbox 360 sales in March will be VERY close because there really isn't a game title that will spur people into buying a PS3 or Xbox 360. However, in April GTA4 is coming out and I know that in that month both PS3 and 360 sales will jump over the average number... I just hope that people don't end up buying the 360 just because it's cheaper because the PS3 is the better overrall product.
However, just like Sony, I have confidence in the PS3 and it's ability to sell even if it costs more than the 360. It looks as if all of the predictions are coming true about the PS3 outselling the 360 this year... the PS3 should outsell the 360 with all of the major exclusives coming out.
