Atlus has revealed that Demon’s Souls, a groundbreaking action RPG coming to the PlayStation 3, will become the newest entry in the company’s Atlus Spoils fan appreciation program. For those of you not familiar with the Atlus Spoils program, look no further than its name – it 'spoils' you with a deluxe edition.
In addition to the standard version, which now features new North-American exclusive box art, the deluxe edition will include a 150-page strategy guide, a collectable outer slipcase, and, of course, the game itself. If you pre-order either version you will receive a free bonus art book with designs and concept sketches from the Demon’s Souls world.
The game is already available in Japan, and Atlus states the North American version will feature a unique on-line co-op experience and challenging PvP battles. You can leave hints for other players, replay death scenes, cooperatively revive dead players, or invade another player’s game to wreak havoc. The game is said to be completely open-ended.
Demon’s Souls is set for release on the PS3 on October 6 with the standard version selling for $59.99 USD and the deluxe edition selling for $69.99 USD. Pre-orders for the deluxe edition are scheduled to being on July 8.

"Bought. Sorry White Knight Chronicles"
Uhhh.... Why can't you buy both? This launches in early October, White Knight Chronicles a FEW MONTHS later. Or do you have some odd "1 RPG per console" rule you cannot disobey? Otherwise that comment just doesn't make any sense.

This game is starting to get alot of momentum. I've been waiting for a decent PVP game for the PS3 for quite awhile, there should be alot more games like this.
Theres something that I don't get, why doesn't the PS3 get a MMO, PVP and other stratergy games. PS3 could introduce a really cool mouse and keyboard set-up that works and is comfortable in the loungeroom. I think the Sony team should look at this and be the first to do so. Anyways what do you guys think?

@26 Yes
I can't wait for this game. I thought about importing it, but decided to just wait it out. I've heard it's ridiculously difficult, but that is appealing to me.
