As many of you already know, 2K Games had promised PS3 owners exclusive downloadable content for their Game of the Year (2007) smash hit, BioShock. However, dates and details in regards to this content were scarce and subjective. In a press release sent our today, 2K endulges not only detailed information about these specific challenge rooms, but they also date the content in question.
Gamers can expect to get a little bit closer and personal with Rapute come November 20. The pack of downloadable rooms will retail for $9.99 in North America and no dates or pricing has yet been made available for Europe. We've included the room information below.
The included rooms:
A Shocking Turn of Events – A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.
The I in Team – Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower.
Worlds of Hurt – Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister.

While it may be worth the extra money for the DLC, I don't think the game itself is still worth the $60. They should have shaved a few dollars off the asking price for the game since it is fairly old. don't get me wrong... it is a great game... but you can tell it is dated. As far as I know..., they still haven't released the update they promised to fix some of the texturing problems. Not going through it as fast as when it first came out on the 360 though ... it just doesn't command the same attention as it once did.
