BioWare bringing Dragon Age to consoles

BioWare has confirmed that its forthcoming Dragon Age series will be released on home consoles at some point after its debut on the PC in 2009.
No further information is currently available on the console iterations, and it is unknown whether or not they will be straight ports or feature any new content over their PC counterpart.
The franchise will kick off with Dragon Age: Origins next year, with early reports labelling the mythology-driven RPG outing as a “spiritual successor” to BioWare’s popular Baldur’s Gate series.

What's with this trend of bringing games that should obviously only exist on PC to consoles? Wasn't the epic failure of Diablo on Playstation enough? I mean if they make a spinoff like Dark Alliance then fine, I'm all for it, but if they ruin the PC version because of keeping consoles in mind the way Oblivion was ruined, then I'll be highly dissapointed. Baulder's Gate would have failed on a console...I can't even imagine trying to control 6 party members like that with a controller...I just can't help but be dissapointed at this growing trend of porting everything to consoles...Things like this ruin games. Way to go Bioware...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the end product, but if this highly anticipated game becomes unplayable on PC because of the crappy console ports then I'm done with this franchise as well...So far E3 has been a MAJOR let-down...I never thought I'd live to see the day I claimed to be let down by Sony being the borderline fanboy that I am, but if Sony doesn't blow me away with their press conference I'll be considering selling my PS3 and games to upgrade my PC. I can't believe I said it but there it is.
