Bionic Commando delayed until 2009

Those of you hoping to fight Spider-Man's webbed-outing with machinery this year will be disappointed to hear that Bionic Commando has been delayed until 2009.

Don't stress, though; Capcom's Ben Judd and GRIN's Ulf Andersson informed Kotaku that the game will launch in "very eeeeaaaarrrlllyyy 2009."

We're still a bit befuddled why they didn't just say January. Still, we're glad that the wait won't be too long. Also, this minor delay should help the title avoid getting lost in this year's epic holiday rush.

For those of you who really want some Bionic Commando action right now, go play the incredible Bionic Commando Rearmed. That should satisfy you for the time being. In fact, it might even be better than this promising 3D re-imagining.

    This game will be alright. I think it was a wise choice for GRIN to release it next year as there are to much good games coming out this holiday season.

    psn id: gingo.... i definitely think Bionic Commando Rearmed will be better than this i really cant see how this will work well in 3d without basically being a spiderman ripoff

    first quater of the year 2009 will be big for ps3 owners. i know the delay will be good for the game.

    All these delays :/  they may aswell not give realease dates cos it only gets people annoyed when they delay their games. It would be better if they waited until they had a definate release date before telling people when it will come out. I think its too early to know for sure that killzone 2 will be out in february.
