Blu-ray sales account for 73% of HD market in Europe

Sales of Sony Corp’s Blu-ray format have reached the one million mark in Europe, accounting for approximately 73 per cent of the high definition market in the region ahead of the Toshiba-manufactured HD-DVD disc.
News comes following a statement issued by the Blu-ray Disc Association, in which the company also revealed that over 20 million software titles for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console had been shipped in European territories since launch.
Best selling titles on the next-generation movie format include Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Spider-Man 3 and 300.

Imagine if it is really true that only 13% owners know about the blu-ray in PS3 and use it; imagine when others start to realize and blu-rays are more mainstream... If the HD-DVD exec is right then they must be sh*****g their pants by now :) -

person A makes a stupid post about being the first person to post then has to point out that this is his second comming of awesomeness.
person B points out to person A that this sort of posting is not only dumb, but the fact person A has pointed out that he has been the champ of online posting twice, leaves person A open to bashing and cruelty.
Person A replies forcefully and rudely towards person B.
Person C,D,E,F,G,H etc. point and laugh at Person A due to the fact that everything he told B really should have been said to himself while looking in a mirror.
I love the PSU people, I really really do.

blu ray is currently outdoing its competitor, i imagine if quote ps3 owners who quote arent aware blu ray, imagine what would happen when they quote start to become aware of blu ray.lol
