COD: World at War beta to be Xbox 360 and PC only

Sorry PS3 gamers, but according to Treyarch and the people at Activision, the upcoming online multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War will be for Xbox 360 and PC owners only.
For those of you who remember, Infinity Ward pulled a similar move last year by hosting the Call of Duty 4 beta only on the Xbox 360. After speaking with a Activision representative, I was told that the reasoning behind doing an Xbox 360 and PC beta was primarily due to increased server and connectivity data.
"We are running the beta only on the Xbox 360 and PC," said the representative. He continued then to point out that most betas on the PS3 are run by first party anyways, and if Treyarch runs their testing on the Xbox 360 and PC they acquire more data on servers and connectivity.
Personally, I think that it's imperative to sufficiently test all networks a game will be running on, and that includes the PlayStation Network. Yes, if you were to run the beta solely on the PlayStation 3, you'd acquire less data than a 360 beta, but why not have a beta span multiple platforms? Is it that much more work?

Considering the CoD4 online mess-up that was made, I'd expect the same here without any proper public testing. It woudn't matter if they get less server info on PS3, we'd like it to work dammit! CoD4 was a mess online, it took them months to bring out a simple patch which still isn't perfect. I'll miss thanks, not because of this, but because of Activison's don't-care stance with PS3 gamers.

Well we all know that Treyarch are a bunch of pompus, talentless a holes who hate the PS3 and are only doing the game for it because they think a badly coded PS3 port would at least buy their lunch because not many PS3 gamers will buy it if they don't think Treyarch have a non biased consumer focused mind.

I just love it when companies try to explain something but digs themselves in deeper. Do us a favor and just don't explain anything because it's obvious you're lying.This reminds me of the Capcom story announcing that they'll only be doing multi-platform for cost reasons, yet there are still exclusives they made on the 360, however none on the PS3 yet they want to convince us )from now on) they will do multi-plat. This is just sickening...

Everybody acts like running a Beta is like turning something on and then leaving it like that, this is constant work that goes into monitoring and maintaining these networks, and you'd probably be better off leaving some of the guys working on polishing the game than catering to a couple of people who at the end of the day don't really care as long as they got to try out the game before anybody else.

Well Im sure a whole bunch of ppl will hate what I have to say but here goes. The truth is that they dont want to have to be compared to Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. Both killzone 2 and resistance 2 will blow COD5 out of the water. so they are sticking with the mediocre xbox 360. The truth is this game is no better than cod4, just skinned for crapy ww2 stuff and a whole year later. COD4 was sweet, but when compared to the new stuff Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 bring to the table, it will be depricated.

I have gotten to realise that the PS3 is the better system and the games developers are just making dry last gen games.the 360 cannot handle top notch games so developers are left making games that are shotty just to have games for this console.Its sad that developers cant take time out to make good games.
Thing is why sell people on pretty colours when gameplay ,AI,and physics are what takes developers forward.
Start making good games developers not same ol cheap games.
