COD4 Map Pack slips in Europe?

Earlier this week we reported that the Call of Duty 4 Map Pack would be hitting PlayStation Network very soon.
Infinity Ward, and more specifically Robert Bowling, confirmed that certification had been successful and that the US and Europe would get the four new maps on April 24 and May 1 respectively.
However, a new post on Bowling's blog quietly reveals that its release has been delayed by three days in Europe. No information was given as to why the pack slipped. In fact the blog doesn't really acknowledge that there has been a delay at all. Hopefully Infinity Ward or Sony will shed light on the situation soon.
We'll keep you up to date.

hmmm another delay? gr8! Oh well im sure they have a ligit reason for it. tbh i wont be gettin this when it comes out neways ill be playin GTA and MGO beat til may the 6th as i imagine quite a few other people will be. - Also it seems sony really need to lighten up a bit on the certification side of things, it seems ot take for ever for them to get it certified.

That is another reason why its going to hurt them. They got there maps on xbox and we sit here and say we got the best system then people say ok then prove it, then we cant cause we are known for the delays. Sony you need to listen closely, we need stuff fast and need it right now. Im getting upset that or good friends in Europe are geting hit late wit stuff( that dont mean hit the US late) but you say we made the right choce, then show us. We waited a full year (07) with delays. Now its time to keep things coming.

If IW can make a whole game on the PS3, I'm pretty sure they should be able to make 4 freakin maps. I'm getting sick of these devs slowly pushing things back for the US and Europe. That map pack better be cheaper than the 360 one when it finally hits or there could be some issues with fans.

I don't think it matters anymore as so many have said that they are now beyond COD4 and are looking to GTA4. But for those who are not moving past COD4 in the EU, I'm sorry. You really do get the short end of the stick a lot...

First of all, some of the guys above me need to stop blaming Sony for every freaking thing because the delayed COD4 map packs for Europe have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with Sony, it's all on Infinity Ward and Sony doesn't even come in the equation. Infinity Ward plainly stated that the PS3 map packs had "took longer than expected", so just give them some time. Developing for the 360 is easy as pie and development for the PS3 isn't as easy and it's something that we all will have to deal with until developers become more familiar with the PS3.

manny your somewhat right, but not all the time europe is left out , you guys get stuff be4 the u.s...heck you guys dont even have to pay health insurance. i jus turned 18 and i have no insurance, i cut my finger open n needed stiches....bang, they hit me with a 2,000 dollar medical bill, but im shure in europe they'd stich me up 4free. so stop woring bout a 3 day delay for stupid maps, you guys got it better than you think.

the thing about health insurance is that yes ours is free, but when you have to wait months for a region free console and games and controllers how much sense does that make. i know that its only three days but if we add up all of the days europe has been delayed its going to add up and put europeans off. and when the european ps store is getting strange but not horrible service (updates, category names) it gets frustrating. so you have to give us a little room to complain.(australia are getting dualshock 3 before Europe monkey crap)
