Following the release of the complete list of Call of Duty: World at War perks and confirmation that the online multiplayer beta will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and PC, we have one more COD5 announcement for you - details of the new "kill streak" commands.
For those of you unfamiliar with this function (which cropped up in COD4: Modern Warfare) kill streaks are awarded when you reach a specific number of kills without dying, and take the form of a special ability which you can utilize against your opponent. In Call of Duty: World at War, Treyarch will be offering something similar giving players special commands for killing multiple enemies.
Here is the complete list:
Recon Plane (3 Kills):
Kill three enemies without dying and you are given the ability to call in a recon plane to mark enemies temporarily on your radar map. The only enemies that won't appear are ones using the Reconnaissance perk.
Artillery Strike (5 Kills):
Kill five enemies without dying and you are given the ability to call in an artillery strike. This is very similar to the Airstrike command in COD4, however, instead of a line of bombs going off, the area in which you select for the drop is completely obliterated in a long series of cannon fire.
Unleash the Dogs (7 Kills):
Kill seven enemies without dying and you enable the ability to call in attack dogs, which will sniff out any enemies on the map. Unlike COD4, attack dogs will find you regardless of where you hide, making it exceedingly difficult to avoid them. Furthermore, killing the attack dogs will only save you temporarily as the hounds will respawn if killed until their time/kill limit has expired.

I dunno but the Treyarch games used to su*k, and now they're stealing ideas from Infinity Ward, because they've seen that they always have been successful with COD. I never remeber having perks and so on in a Treyarch-COD, not to mention that they never had a compelling online feature
oh yeah the dogs - cod4 anyone?

They should rename this game "Call of Duty 5: The Hunt For More Money" because that's what it is. To me it just seems like a remake of CoD 4, WWII style. I think I'll survive without this game.
(yeah yeah, all games wants to bring in as much money as possible yada yada etc etc).

People seem to forget this is still a COD. just because it being developed by another company doesnt mean they should change everything. more people would be mad if the removed these features. and why wouldn't you want to kill dogs. Shooting a human in the face is perfectly fine, but you cant touch a dog.dont be a pus.

This game is shaping up nicely. The dogs sound wicked sexy (man up pussies).
For those not in the know, this game is being created off the CoD4 engine and it is Activisions game. CoD4 developed by IW and CoD5 being developed by Treyarch - but it is still Activisions game and they call the shots. CoD5 is just to hold interest until CoD6 comes out anyway, relax a bit.

Ok you guys should seriously listen to yourselves... You shoot other humans but "the thought of killing dogs sickens you" That's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Go back to PETA. It's still just a game either way, so i hope i can slaughter as many stupid dogs as i want, and i hope i can blow their legs off and see their torsos squirming as they yelp and bleed to death.

The dog bit are scary tbh, i train german shepherds to attack and with a bite pressure of 750lb per square inch and a gape big enough to fit your head in.You are going to be in BIG trouble, talking from first hand experiance.
And why are people worried about shooting dogs and dont care a hoot about shooting people in games? the mind boggles.
if i had to take on a man with no weapons or a german shepherd, i would take on the man without a doubt.
My latest 2 in training.

Oh my god so many people find killing virtual dogs sickening, when they're more then happy to kill virtual humans. Now thats what sickens me. put it this way either you kill the dogs or they kill you.
Me I think its a great idea and a good change from a helicoptor, although if you can't hide from the dogs then the team to release the dogs first is going to gain the advantage really quickly.

what are you idiots on about... This is still Call of Duty, its not a different game to the last. I think changing it is a good idea. The whole point of having them is to make it hard, so stop moaning about it people.

I can't believe what I'm reading! People are so against killing dogs but are perfectly find killing other humans??? It just shows that the world we live in is all messed up!
Not to say that I'm all for killings dogs or humans but common it's only a game man!
In the end this game doesn't apeal to me anyhow, I've had my filled of CoD's new perk system, totally for unskilled FPS players. I'm setting my sights on ArmA 2, Ground Breach, Sky Gods & Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. These cater to the more mature gamer that craves more realistic tactical shooter experience!

@ No.47 dogs can run faster than humans and humans can run towards a gaymore and trigger it off and still survive time it explodes you are behind it.
