According to Internet reports, the PlayStation 3 version of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has now sold more than three million copies worldwide.
Previously, the only PS3 title to achieve the same mark had been launch title MotorStorm, developed by Evolution Studios.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare marks the series first transition to a contemporary modern day setting, featuring a host of modernised weaponry, equipment and vehicles to utilize in combat.
The game has been highly praise for its incredibly realistic visual offering, bringing to life the grim, harsh realities of urban-based combat as you infiltrate a number of highly-detailed battle zones across the globe.

Ive bought it twice! Once on the 360 and now on the PS3. Looks better on the PS too.
i really don't like FPS, but this one i'm having a blast with. hope they stick to modern warfare.
3 million+ sales later and the game STILL has major online issues, i.e. hosts can end game at any point; you may play the same map 5-10 times in an hour; the lag is horrible and for those of us who paid $9.99 for this map pack, we still haven't seen the Killhouse map in the Domination. SOCOM Confrontation here I come.

9 mil total and with 3 mil on ps3 that means 360 has sold 6mil.

I still need to get this game, but all these issues of online play are holding me back for now.

PC hardly sold any units.
If you are having lag issues on COD4, they are your issues. I have none. Except when the servers were overloaded with new players (3 weeks in...on weekends...right after christmas), I NEVER had lag. It never took them more that 3 days to add more space. So many people have moved to GTA4, that if you have lag, get a new provider.
