I don't know why Infinityward are letting this other company give the Call of Duty franchise a bad name.  COD3 was rubbish compared to  the first two games and COD4 is a masterpeice.  I wouldn't expect much from COD5

Am I the only one who doesnt care? Seriously - if they do a good job at it then thats all that matters. The problem is CoD was great, CoD2 was great also - but CoD3 brang nothing new to the table. Has anyone even SEEN gameplay footage of Brothers in Arms: (H)ell's Highway? It looks amazing - and simply because they have brought all new gameplay elements to the genre. If the team does the same with CoD5 as they did with CoD4 (only WW2 based) then it's gonna rock.

Obviously if they do a great job then yes we shouldn't care it's just that 99% of us feel that Treyarch will not make an awesome game but an OK one. But haven't we had enough of WWII setting in the CoD franchise? I think it was Infinity Ward who created the awesome first CoD on the PC and then we had CoD 1 & 2 on consoles. All these are awesome. Then Activision handed development to Treyarch to make CoD3 and we see a good game but the weakest of the franchie. Then Infinity develop CoD4 and make the best of the franchise. If you had Infinity and Treyarch making CoD5 seperatly simultaneously you know Infinity's version will be alot better. I jusy can't understand how Activision got Infinity to put the franchise back on top only to hand development to a team that will knock it down again? UNless there is more to it, like Infinity didn't want to make a new one?

This is taking a giant leap backwards. First of all every COD project Treyarch has been responsible for was a disgrace to everything Infinity Ward has accomplished. Going back to WWII is even worse.

i could care less about this game.  COD4 will keep me busy for a while, along with a ton of other games that are a lot more original rather than just another WWII FPS.

I'll be playing COD 4 until COD 6, unless they changed they idea of COD5 in to something not WWII cuz WWII is very much played out and dead, and it shouldnt be brought back to life.

This are good news for me.

Well, if they will create COD5 based again on WWII it should  better then MEDAL OF HONOR. Because i the last 2 title of COD they were great. I personly, loved COD3 and i hope they will create within the game, new idea, more detalis and be very creative. Medal Of Honor is getting worse. I remember the old Medal Of Honor on the ps1 were better then last one, that is on the ps3.

I think it's good that they do WWII. But it would be even better if they focused on other wars now. Like the Vietnam war. That would be great as a Call of Duty title! Or the cooles: WW I. Noone has ever had the guts to approach the first world war. But that would be awesome.

It's horrble that its WWII, but that really doesn't bother that much. What really bothers me is that Treyarch are making this game. WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, there one of the worst game makers ever!!!! All of their game have sucked, expecially CoD3.

Saboteur is probably the next/last WWII game I will spend my time with...and I think with the huge success of COD4 this is just the dumbest thing I have ever heard-the WWII thing is getting way too stale, why not do something else like gulf war shlt or something - I dunno, I just think this is entirely a step back for the series, and not in a good way.

vietnam war game on console, that's a good idea, especially if you get to play both sides. it's a shame for call of duty, personally cod4 is the only one i brought and i'll deffinatly wont be buying cod5, the only ww2 game i want to buy is the sequal to "resistance fom" for me this is the only ww2 game worth to buy on ps3, all the others suçk§ big time!

I personally don't think it'll be based on a WWII scenario.  The ad may just be suggesting something about WWII but not necessarily build a game based on that war! Just some historical references, maybe?!? We'll have to wait and see...early next year! (for more info that is).

Why would you want a WWI shooter.  You do realize that most of the war consisted of trench warfare, right?  How fun would it be to sit in a trench and fire at enemies in the other trench for most of the game?  That sounds real fun.

COD is known for a new game coming out every year. If this game is going to be any good I think they have to get away from that and take their time because COD4 raised the standards.

it doesn't sound good, Cod4 was out there but this is a big bad step back. There's already hundreds of WII games in the shops and we don't need another one. CoD4 raised the bar to new heights, but I think as long as the next one goes higher, i'l probably still play it.
