Media Molecule will be unleashing two specialised ‘Sacktue of Liberty’ costumes for LittleBigPlanet early next month in celebration of Independence Day in the U.S. on July 4.
Punters will be able to download the funky new SackBoy skins on July 2 free of charge. While you’re there, it’s also worth remembering that the Druid outfit is still up for grabs, albeit for a limited time only, so be sure not to miss out.
Lastly, Media Molecule’s website has a quick history of the Statue of Liberty posted on its website, so be sure to check it out if you fancy brushing up on your history.

So Media Molecule, a British game developing company, are releasing a costume to celebrate America's independence day, where they fought won independence from the, erm... British. Something seems wrong here... Why is my country constantly screwing itself over!?

Hey beasley... There's a statute of limitations on complaining about what another country did to yours, I think... I'd say 50 years, but 75 would be more than enough.
233... Yeah, I think that's definiitely long enough. There are land battles and battles over rights and beliefs. It happens. Americans really just want to celebrate the day we became a nation, and MM is cool with that because they don't hold a silly 233 year old grudge.
Sunildatt: So level creation just stopped, and it's all about costumes, huh? Or... maybe you're just full of C.R.A.P.

Beasley, what's the problem?
They're releasing a harmless costume, stop being a baby.

@6
I never said I had a problem with it, so no need to get defensive...
@9
I never said the costume's a bad thing, it's good to see that great English developers are supporting American celebrations: I'd get the costume myself if it was available in Europe. I think it's great that America has become it's own nation, as I'm sure it's accomplished a lot more than it could've with us holding it back, so it's great that Media Molecule are supporting this: it just surprised me that an English developer chose to support an American celebration, especially since we haven't had any English celebrations from them yet! I have no grudge about America earning independence, and I certainly wouldn't hold one after 233 years, especially since we're such great partners with the USA - you certainly have the right to celebrate your victory and by no means am I complaining, it's good to see developers supporting you. I said nothing that implies I have a grudge, so why you suggest this I have no idea, all I was saying is it seems a strange thing for Media Molecule to do...
@10
SamuraiClarke, I have no problem, I did nothing to suggest I did, stop being so pathetically defensive. Learn to understand the point someone's getting across before commenting, otherwise it reveals you for the idiot that you are. I would explain the point I was making, but I already did it for bobtheduck, who was much more courteous, and I'm sure it'd be a waste of effort on you anyway.

@4 you don't have thanksgiving and you celebrate the new year on 1st of january rather than in february like in china but you still got costumes for those things, sounds like you don't want to be part of America you're not because it's independent :) sackboy is universal so he has a costume for every celebration apart from my birthday (although I noticed he didn't wear anything for st george's day only st patrick )

@31
It wasn't just you Americans that helped us win the war. Don't let it get the fact that you helped us out because of our relationship get to your head: you helped us, so we don't know what would've happened if you didn't, but I'm sure it wasn't solely your doing that won the war. There were several countries fighting for the Allies, so don't think it was America that's preventing us from speaking German. Thanks anyway though.
