Confirmed: Kojima is working on Metal Gear Solid 5

While not the most surprising news, we can finally put an end to the rumors and speculation about Metal Gear Solid 5—it’s been confirmed by none other than Hideo Kojima, the mind behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Speaking to the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Kojima discusses plans for Metal Gear Solid Rising, and confirms that he is in some way working on Metal Gear Solid 5. However, it is unknown if he is reprising his role as game director, or just standing back from a producer’s point of view.
Does this mean that the character Kojima-san has been working so hard to kill off is coming back? Is Solid Snake on the horizon in the next Metal Gear Solid game, or will we see a new series protagonist? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Metal Gear 1 and 2 redone? Another one where you play as Big Boss? An online only one where you have different factions sneaking? Maybe play as a young Liquid?

@ItotheCtotheE Playing as a young Liquid Snake would be hilarious. I do, however, like your idea of combining Metal Gear 1 and 2 into one Fox Engine-powered game.
So who here wants to bet if this'll be PS3-exclusive?

WIth every other game going multiplatform,
I dont think that this will be exclusive, but I really really how it is. If I was Sony I would throw crazy amounts of cash to be exclusive. This is the one game that should always remain exclusive.

With all the rumors of a PS4 in development it is possible that it will be on the PS4. I hope they don\'t the hard drive install like MGS4.

im not sure it could be PS exclusive Epic but i bet u all it will be come for next gen game :), it will come lunch for PS4 :) hope again be a shiny game on ps4 like MGS4 on PS3

By bet is on a game revolving around The Boss(Not Big Boss).
Oh and I am 99% sure it will be PS3 exclusive.
Simple reason that If the Xbox was nowhere near capable of handling MGS4(Without 4 disks, which Kojima refused to put MGS4 on) Then it will be absolutely nowhere near being able to handle a bigger and better MGS5. Mgs5 will be exclusive to PS3.

Well I'm hoping Snake comes back.Just saw a scan of the magazine on VGChartz and it quotes Kojima saying "Snake was supposed to die". Does that mean he's bringing him back for 5? I hope so!

I think that a remake of MGS1 and 2 is a great idea but they should leave MGS5 a PS exlusive since the Metal Gear games have always been only playstation (exculding Rising) if MGS5 is going to xbox as well its like Halo4 going to be able to be played on PS3
