Criterion reveals three new Burnout Paradise modes

Posted on April 16th, 2008 at 08:14 EDT

Criterion Games has unveiled three additional game modes to be included in the upcoming “Cagney” patch update for its highly successful racing title, Burnout Paradise.

-Online Stunt Run: Features up to eight players competing for the highest score within a two-minute time limit.

-Online Marked Man: A randomly assigned player must reach their destination without suffering a single hit.

-Online Road Rage: One each is assigned the task of reaching a certain checkpoint, while another concentrates on takedowns.

Criterion commented: "This is just the start - we aim to bring you many new Freeburn game modes covering different themes and play styles.”

"Over the next 12 months, we're going to transform the Burnout Paradise you know and love into the Burnout Paradise you only ever dreamed of!"

Cagney has yet to be issued a release date, although the forthcoming “Bogart” update – featuring various "gameplay experience enhancements,” – will be available from April 24.

Stay tuned.

Hmm I like the sound of this. They're great modes offline and I couldn't understand why they weren't Online from the start. But still, Burnout is coming along nicely, Free DLC and new modes for the Online (:

Over the next 12 months???? We Im stilling going to trade this game when GTA4 comes out.. By the time Criterion get their itsh together then I just buy it as a PS3 Best title. Cause honestly I havent play this game in a while.. Its not the same.. And Ima hardcore BO fan..If they intend on keeping the fans.. They need to come out and say already that they're going to bring back "Crash Mode" not this 12 month wet dream crap..
