Dead Space banned in China, Germany and Japan

According to Destructoid, Electronic Arts' upcoming grisly sci-fi yarn Dead Space has been banned from sale in Germany, China and Japan. On the brighter side, Destructoid is also reporting that the game's release has been pushed forward again. It's now out on October 14 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
All three countries have a history of videogame legislation. In 2007 Germany pushed for a Europe-wide ban on violent games, while Japan has censored the likes of Dead Rising and Resident Evil 4. China routinely bans or censors media for its own nefarious political purposes.
Dead Space is a bloody third person jaunt through the demon-infested interior of a wrecked spacecraft. While it hasn't bowled us over with its innovative thinking thus far, the game positively drips with style and we're eagerly anticipating that review copy.

Wow EA, you guys actually made a gorey game, not like your fake LOTR games (Which you need to give to someone else so they will be good or resume the Whoe Councl) and your crappy need for speed games and you sports games that are the same every single year... maybe there takeing a turning point?

"In 2007 Germany pushed for a Europe-wide ban on violent games"
I'm sorry, but who the heck do they think they are? By all means ban it in your own country, but leave the rest of us out of it, thanks.
And they wonder why people say 'no' to a united Europe.

Germany are just stupid, they always try to throw their opinions on other countries in europe. I don't want to be a part of Europe and am glad my country hasn't gone the silly Euro currency route.

Props to anyone who sells these to importers, I was friggin thrilled when I got a banned copy of Manhunt 2. Hey the more gory the better right? However with this company's track record I might plop down the six bucks for a rental first. It is certainly looking like ps3 owners will break the bank this holiday season. Yeah its hitting the crapbox but cmon, sometimes u have to give the baby a bottle.

@Paranoimia
If Europe was united as one nation, it wouldn't nescessary mean that everything Germany says is done. It's just their own vote.@SpyroViper
It's funny that a douschbag from the United States of Dumb calls Germany a stupid country. And Euro is going far better than the USD. -
